Sara Fuchs Hayat received her doctoral degree in the history of architecture at Brown University. Her research focuses on architecture and politics in post-World War 2 Germany. Her current projects investigate American government buildings in postwar Germany and East German architectural theories. She has taught courses on architecture and urban planning at various institutions, including The Rhode Island School of Design (RISD) and the School of the Art Institute of Chicago (SAIC).
