Sylvi Re worked with the Department of Theatre in the Fall of 2022 as the Costume Shop Supervisor. She is returning to Northeastern University from teaching drama and costuming at the Winsor School. Before moving into teaching, she worked at The Boston Ballet for four seasons in various positions, most recently as a First Hand. She received her MFA from Carnegie Mellon University in Costume Production and Management. There, she honed her skills in patterning, fitting, and the art of taking a sketch to realized garment. Notable projects include commissioned wedding dresses, stretchwear, and corsetry. Other theatre credits include American Repertory Theatre, Trinity Rep, and Theatre by the Sea.
She has a BA in Theatre Arts from Illinois Wesleyan University and an MFA in Costume Production and Management from Carnegie Mellon University.
