The Film and Creative Media, BA is an undergraduate degree focused on storytelling and media making across film, television, digital, and emerging platforms. It is designed for students who want to combine creative expression with applied production experience and critical media study. The program prepares graduates for careers in media, entertainment, and creative industries by developing technical, collaborative, and analytical skills. What sets it apart is its integration of professional production training with Northeastern’s experiential learning, global network, and co-op model.
Learning Outcomes
- Create meaning through moving image and sound, utilizing stylistic and representational devices.
- Experiment with ideas, learn tools, and exercise skills to make improvements to work through iterative processes.
- Understand historical, personal, and cultural context within the discipline.
- Demonstrate ability to complete a film, video, or chosen media project from pre-production through production and post-production.
