Bringing together faculty members from multiple departments within CAMD and the Bouvé College of Health Sciences, this pilot study will examine data from next-generation textile pressure-sensor insoles. The team will leverage the data to detect different surface conditions (e.g. asphalt, sand, gravel, grass, etc.). The data will also advance understanding of the human experience of walking in urban environments and its impacts on human health and wellbeing and urban design and planning.
