Submissions for the 2016 CAMD Goes Global Photo Challenge are now closed. Check back July of 2017 for details on next year’s challenge!

Till then, the print exhibition will be on display in 100 Meserve Hall, the CAMD Academic Advising and Cooperative Education Office, till July 2017. The digital exhibition can be viewed here!

For the third year running, CAMD Academic Advising and Cooperative Education invites CAMD students and recent graduates to share photos that reflect the theme of global engagement. We are eager to showcase the student perspective of semesters abroad, Dialogues of Civilization, and international co-ops! There will be two exhibitions this fall: the Digital Exhibition and the Academic Advising and Cooperative Education Exhibition in Meserve Hall. All photos will be included in the Digital Exhibition and a selection will be featured in the exhibit in Meserve Hall. There are two ways to participate;

  1. Share a photo via Twitter, Instagram, or email as part of CAMD’s digital exhibition and then view them on the CAMD Website

  2. Submit a photo to the Office of Academic Advising and Cooperative Education Exhibit for consideration in a special exhibition

Digital Exhibition

Share a snapshot of your Dialogue of Civilizations, study abroad program, international co-op, or other meaningful global experience. We’ll collect your images for a digital exhibition on the CAMD website, in Ryder Hall, and in the Digital Media Commons of Snell Library.

Academic Advising and Cooperative Education Exhibit

CAMD’s office of Academic Advising and Cooperative Education is seeking photos of study abroad, Diagloue of Civilizations, and International Co-op by current CAMD students and recent graduates that reflect the theme of global engagement. Select photos will be printed, framed, and displayed in an exhibition in Meserve Hall and all photos will be included in the digital exhibition.

If you would like to submit your work for consideration, please review the submission guidelines, email your high-resolution photo to [email protected], and fill out the submission form by Friday, September 9.

Submission Guidelines

  1. Email ONE high-resolution photo to [email protected] with the subject line “CAMD Goes Global 2016” by Friday, September 9.

The file should be:

  • Saved as RGB
  • Saved as file format .jpg or .tiff
  • Saved with your name and type of global experience in the file name (e.g. JaneSmith_Dialogue.jpg)
  • Saved at no less than 180 pixels per inch for a minimum document size of 8”x8” or 8”x10”
  1. Tell us a little bit about yourself and your photo by completing the submission form by Friday, September 9.

Additional notes:

  • After the deadline of Friday, September 9, submissions will be reviewed by Academic Advising and Cooperative Education staff members.
  • Staff will select a limited number of photos across a range of student experiences.
  • Students will be notified about the status of their submission by the end of September.
  • Photos that are selected will be printed, framed, and hung at 100 Meserve Hall in the Office of Academic Advising and Cooperative Education.
  • During the exhibit, students, faculty, and staff will vote for their favorite photos. The students who created the top three photos will win prizes. Gift card prizes include House of Blues, Cheesecake Factory, and Barnes and Noble.
  • Please note that by submitting your photograph as part of this opportunity, you voluntarily give the University the rights to reproduce and use said photograph in any manner the University desires, including but not limited to University promotional and marketing materials.
  • One entry per student.
