Prof. Anthony De Ritis’s work Devolution was performed by the Hong Kong Philharmonic on February 24. Jung-Ho Pak conducted, and Paul D. Miller (aka DJ Spooky) was featured as soloist.

Devolution, a concerto for DJ and symphony orchestra, has been performed by an ever-growing number or orchestras around the world, including the Oakland East Bay Symphony, the New Haven Symphony, the Berklee Contemporary Symphony Orchestra, the Alabama Symphony, and it has been recorded by BMOP under the baton of Gil Rose.  WQXR radio has said that “Listening to Anthony Paul De Ritis’s Devolution is somewhat akin to watching a Tarsem film: The mixture of influences, references and textures is both blindingly apparent and blindingly gorgeous.”
