The Value of Presenting: Arts, Data and Research in North America

February 12-13, 2014 at Northeastern University

The Department of Music hosted a symposium that gathered North American thought leaders in the arts, cultural, and creative community to discuss the state of arts data and research. Topics included arts economies, managing multiple bottom lines (financial, social, and cultural impact) of the arts in international, national, and local communities, and cutting edge approaches to leveraging real-time data for market research and contemporary audience development.

Organizations included the National Endowment for the Arts (NEA), Americans for the Arts, Canadian Arts Presenting Association (CAPACOA), ArtsBoston, and the Greater Philadelphia Cultural Alliance.
