In this graduate course taught by Professor Hugh Dubberly, students engage with design theory literature and explain the underlying models in diagrammatic form.

This final project asks students to create a model of an aspect of design. For example, describing what design is or how designing is done, using a concept map or a process map — a series of nodes (nouns) and links (verbs), that when read in sequence form propositions (i.e., sentences). The format is 22” x 34” — a poster-sized diagram.
