The School of Journalism’s Media Innovation Program has a new gift from Blue Chalk, a digital media company based in Brooklyn. Ochre, Blue Chalk’s visual storytelling blog, is now in the very capable hands of the School of Journalism’s Media Innovation graduate students. Ochre was nominated for a Webby in the “Best Websites: Blog – Business” category after just nine months of publishing. Northeastern students will be tasked with publishing articles monthly. Check out Ochre and “The Boat: Navigating new waters of an online graphic novel” by Media Innovation alumna Yingchi Wei now!

“It was our intention to create a space for visual journalists to debate their collective future,” said Blue Chalk founder and CEO, Greg Moyer. “It seems only natural to house Ochre at a place where inquiry is a daily event.”
