What’s your favorite part about working with students?
My favorite part about working with students is getting to know who they are, where they come from, and learning a bit about what they’ve done and how that’s influenced their choice to come to Northeastern University. Then it’s fun to help them map how to realize those dreams and goals they have for their undergraduate education.
What resources are you most excited to share with students?
It’s most exciting to share with students how their curriculum will coordinate with co-op and how experiences they bring back from co-op will enrich what they can do in courses. It’s wonderful to see the growth in students—in confidence, maturity, capability—as they move from first year to senior year.
What advice do you have for incoming students?
Get to know your faculty and take advantage of what they know and have experienced. Join some student organizations. Be mindful of your work/fun balance. And get to know Boston and the vicinity. Boston is a lot more than Newbury Street.
