Composing with Image and Sound: A new elective in Media Arts, Media & Screen Studies, Music, and the MFA in Interdisciplinary Arts

Students will explore ways in which sound and images can be combined in mixed media artworks. Students will gain practical experience through the creation of original artworks. Additionally, students will undertake analysis and assessment of existing works by viewing films and reading key articles in experimental audio-visual production. A working knowledge of either music or video/animation software is required. Students should contact the professor in advance for permission to register for the course.
