Creative STEM

CAMD’s graduate education centers around the integration of Science, Technology, Engineering, and Math (STEM) knowledge and skills with the arts, design, media, and communication, thereby preparing students who are technically skilled but can apply those technical skills for creative endeavors. Many degrees are STEM-certified.

State-of-the-Art Creative Facilities

CAMD offers students state-of-the-art creative facilities to support their work, including, but not limited to, makerspaces, usability labs, and studios for games, extended reality, and physical computing. CAMD supports students through its unique Media Studios Organization (MSO), which guides students in using the facilities.

Competitive Scholarships

We offer competitive, merit-based scholarships ranging from 15% to 60% tuition reduction, but for a few qualified candidates, we may include up to full tuition coverage. The average tuition reduction is 30%.

CAMD’s PhD in Interdisciplinary Design and Media offers an innovative, globally-aware, human-centered approach to advanced graduate study, focusing on practice-based research and scholarship applied to or conducted through making or creation. Architecture + Sustainability

CAMD’s NAAB-accredited Architecture program prepares graduates to lead the transformation of our built environments toward healthier, sustainable futures. CAMD’s media, communications and journalism programs prepare students to become innovative, creative leaders who are well equipped to navigate rapid changes in society. Students learn how to use, critique and build emerging storytelling tools and leverage them to explain complex topics to general audiences. Our classes are hands on and designed to foster crucial production skills while also evaluating media trends based on principles of democracy, equity and sustainability.
