Acting Out is dedicated to promoting social change through the work that it produces, events it holds, and discussions it facilitates.
Acting Out produces two main plays each semester, including at least one major student-written show each year. Additionally, Acting Out hosts special events including staged readings and sketch comedy nights (Wednesday Night Live), and we co-host 8-8, Northeastern’s 24-hour theatre festival, each semester.
AO also hosts biweekly general meetings, open to anyone, at 7:00 PM every Thursday in Room 440 in the Curry Student Center.
We use these meetings to talk about theatre and activism events happening on or around campus, and we finish each meeting with a game, craft, or chat.
