Co-Op

Our array of co-ops allow Theatre students to combine classroom theory with real-world experience in professional theatres around the world. From our own neighborhood on Boston’s Avenue of the Arts to epicenters of theatre in New York City, London, and Paris, students have extraordinary opportunities to broaden their horizons.

Dialogue of Civilizations

Students in the Department of Theatre can spend several weeks in the summer focusing on intriguing topics ranging from costume and fashion design in Paris to acting in London.

N.U.in

Each year 10-15 outstanding theatre majors are specially selected, often on the basis of their audition or design portfolio, to spend their first fall semester studying internationally in locations such as London, Montreal, Sydney, and Dublin. NUin Theatre creatively engages young theatre artists in global experiential learning.

The Department’s Student Advisory Board meets regularly with the Department Chair to provide feedback, advice and student perspectives on departmental initiatives and issues.
