A great Northeastern tradition now in its 85th year, Silver Masque is the oldest theatrical organization on campus. Self-governed by Northeastern students, Silver Masque focuses on the promotion and production of original works and performances. It is open to all student theatre-lovers who are imaginative, entrepreneurial, and independent.

Silver Masque is a student-run theatre company committed to fostering a safe, supportive, and creative environment in which students may collaborate in workshopping and producing original student work.
We offer opportunities in the following: acting, playwriting, directing, theatrical design, stage management, run crew, and more depending on our programming.

Silver Masque Programs
:Silver Masque offers numerous opportunities for artistic endeavors. Most notably during Fortnight, a biweekly, cabaret-style performance full of songs, skits, standup, improv, and more! Fortnights happen every other Thursday from 11p-12a ET. Additionally, Silver Masque will host a variety of community panels, workshops, and other events!
Silver Masque is led by a group of elected officers:
Erin Solomon, President
Erin is a third year combined Communication Studies–Theatre major. Her Northeastern credits include Urinetown, The Skin of Our Teeth, The Three Sisters, and Everyman. Previous Silver Masque credits include The Firing Squad and You Called? Erin currently works as the Assistant to the Executive Director at Central Square Theater and the Operations Assistant at ONCE Somerville Ballroom and Virtual Venue.
Carla McDonough, Vice President
Ashley Lyon, Treasurer
Ashley Lyon (she/her) is a fourth year theatre major with a performance concentration and minors in English, writing, and songwriting. Silver Masque credits include Rochambeau (director), Overcome (costume designer), and Blueberry Waffles (Carly). Northeastern DoT credits include Sensitive Guys (ASM), She Kills Monsters (Agnes), Three Sisters (asst. props), and How I Learned to Drive (wardrobe). She is originally from Monterey, CA and has a surprising wealth of knowledge about sustainable seafood despite being vegan.
Shira Lederman, Secretary
Shira Lederman is a third year Theatre major and History minor from Brooklyn, New York. She was Assistant Stage Manager for Northeastern Theatre Department’s The Wolves, She is beginning her first co-op as Assistant to the Artistic Director at The Nora in the fall. In her free time, Shira enjoys reading, playing guitar, and watching movies.
Erin Fitzpatrick, Marketing Outreach Manager
Erin is a third year Theatre and Communication Studies double major and a Psychology minor from Pittsburgh PA and Düsseldorf Germany. Previous Northeastern credits include Mary Stuart as well as Acting Out’s production of From The Kitchen. Additionally, she worked on the props team for Sensitive Guys and She Kills Monsters. Currently, she is on co-op as a Studio Administrator at Boston Ballet Company.
Donovan Holt, Diversity and Inclusion Director
Donovan Holt is a Third Year theatre major with a minor in human movement science. Previous Northeastern Department of Theatre credits include Urinetown the Musical, Mary Stuart, and She Kills Monsters. Donovan is also a music director for Northeastern’s Downbeats A Cappella. Holt is currently completing his co-op at the Boston Ballet where he served as a Studio Administrator for the School.
Elise Cooke, Recruitment Director
Carla McDonough (Recruitment Director) is a fifth year Theatre major with minors in English and Theatre, Performance, and Social change. Her Northeastern credits include After Miss Julie and Mary Stuart. She hopes to apply what she has learned at Northeastern and through Silver Masque towards a future career in Social Work. Carla can be seen in the mini-series When Night Stands Fast on Amazon Prime Video.
Abbey Kesselman, Social Media Director
Abby Kesselman is a third year Theatre major with a double minor in Graphic and Information Design and Communications. Previous Northeastern theatre credits include Urinetown and Silver Masque’s Crime or Punishment, as well as working for a semester in Northeastern’s scene shop.
Hannah Marks, Technical Director
Hannah is a third year Theatre and Math major from Denver, CO. Her previous Northeastern credits include deck run crew for The Skin of Our Teeth, ASM for Mary Stuart, Podcast Manager for Deferred, and Stage Manager for As U Like It. She also ASMed Acting Out’s production of Lysistrata. Hannah was also on tech squad for the 20-21 school year and co-produced Lord of the Flies-ish.
